Get Cycling!
Cycling is a socially responsible, healthy, affordable and practical mode of personal transport. It benefits the community as a whole by helping Croydon to meet its environmental, health and air quality obligations.
Croydon Cycling Campaign (CCC) is the London Cycling Campaign local group for the borough of Croydon. Like our parent organisation, we campaign for cycling to be actively encouraged by:
- Promoting cycling
- mproving conditions for cycling
- Raising the profile of cycling
We also aim to be a friendly, supportive group for anyone who cycles or wishes to start cycling. You can get in touch with us via ourcontacts page or by coming to one of our monthly meetings. You can also get news and information via the Croydon Cyclists web forum , an open forum for anybody interested in cycling in the borough.
Join us and over 10,000 members to help LCC campaign for a better deal for cycling in London. Other benefits to you include a great magazine, free 3rd party insurance, and discounts on cycles and accessories in both local and London-wide bike shops.
LCN+
LCN+ is Transport for London's new network of cycle routes. It is intended to be a sparser network than the original LCN, with the emphasis of high quality strategic routes. The idea is to compliment the existing LCN rather than replace it..
One Way Streets
One-way streets are a disguised anti-cycling measure because:
- They force people to pedal further.
- hey increase traffic speeds, increasing danger to cyclists and pedestrians.
- In some cases, they create multi-lane roads, which are especially cycle-unfriendly.
